Children will learn to cook by following the steps of a recipe. They will cook an appetizer, a main course, as well as a delicious dessert. Once finished, they will eat their lovingly prepared dish. Additionally, at the end of the session, they will leave with a recipe book to cook at home.
This activity takes place on the 3rd floor of the Hochelaga Community Center.
☆ Registration
One week before the registration period for recreational activities at the CCH, children will receive a registration form during the class tours at Baril, Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption, and Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc schools. If your child does not attend one of these schools or if you have misplaced your form, please come directly to the CCH to obtain one.
When registering for recreational activities, you must bring the completed registration form along with the sum equal to the number of activities registered for. Please note that we only accept cash payments.
We would appreciate it if you could inform us of your child’s absence from any of the registered activities during the session. Otherwise, for safety reasons, we will try to contact you to verify this absence.
☆ Shuttle Service
To ensure that young people actively participate in the various activities offered and that their travel between their school and the CCH is done safely, the center aims to provide a shuttle service. Shuttles are on foot and supervised by a CCH animator. If you wish to obtain the school shuttle service and/or return shuttle, please indicate this on the registration form.
☆ School Shuttle
Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption: At the end of classes, an animator waits for the children outside the school in front of the daycare door. The animator takes attendance of the children registered for the shuttle. Then, the animator and the children walk safely to the Hochelaga Community Center.
Baril: An animator waits for the children in the school gymnasium. The animator takes attendance of the children registered for the shuttle. Then, they walk safely to the CCH.
Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc: There is no school shuttle for children from Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc school.
☆ Return Shuttle
Children participating in CCH activities must remain between Préfontaine and Valois/Hochelaga and Adam streets to have access to the return shuttle.
